Don Mills  ·  Est. 2015

A new 14-storey loft-style condominium at the Shops at Don Mills, finished around 2014–15 by Cadillac Fairview with FRAM Building Group and designed by Giannone Petricone Associates. About 171 suites with tall ceilings, big windows and the building's signature concrete piers.

History of Liv Lofts

Liv Lofts is not a conversion. It was built new as part of the redevelopment of the Shops at Don Mills, the old Don Mills plaza at Don Mills and Lawrence, by the plaza's owner Cadillac Fairview together with FRAM Building Group.

Giannone Petricone Associates designed it as a 14-storey building in a loft style, with finger-like precast concrete piers on the outside, a double-height lobby and loft-style suites inside; Mike Niven did the interiors. It was finished around 2014 and 2015 and has about 171 suites.

Don Mills itself was Canada's first large planned suburb, laid out from the early 1950s, and the shops are its old town centre.

Stories you'll hear

“It's a converted medical office building.” It was built new; the name is about the style, not a factory past.
